CRUZ MISSILE LAND IN TORONTO

Juancho Hernangomez, or widely recognized as Bo Cruz in the netflix film "Hustle", agrees to a 1-year deal with the Toronto Raptors as he look to replicate his success on the big screen in the hardwood.

Hustle is a sports drama film that focuses on the behind-the-scenes action for NBA organizations.

In the movie, Philadelphia 76ers scout Stanley Sugarman (Adam Sandler) was tasked to find the 76ers' missing piece for a seat in the bench as the team's assistant coach. In his travel, he found construction worker and street ball star Bo Cruz (Hernagomez) balling out in the streets of Spain. Cruz lacked the exposure and professional experience, but Sugarman saw the talent and NBA potential.

Sugarman had a strong belief on Cruz that he brought him to the US despite lacking support from the 76ers organization. It did not help that Cruz had a troubled past. The two then embark on a journey to reach their goal — which they ultimately reached.

During the 2019 season, Hernangomez had a somewhat breakout stretch averaging 12.9 points and 7.3 rebounds after being traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Last year, Hernangomez bounced around the league playing for three different teams averaging 3.3 points and 2.5 rebounds in 40 games.

The movie hustle performed well on screen, but can Hernangomez replicate that same success in the NBA.
