CELTICS GET REVENGE WIN IN SUMMER LEAGUE

A month after their NBA finals clash, the Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors meet again — but now in the 2022 Las Vegas Summer League.

This time, it was the Celtics who came up on top with a wire-to-wire victory over the Warriors behind the hot shooting of Justin Jackson.

A man on a mission, Jackson dropped a team-high 24 points off five three point baskets to strengthen his bid for an NBA comeback.

French guard Juhann Begarin scored 21 points for the C's while big man Mfiondu Kabengele added 20 points and 13 rebounds in hopes to land a training camp invite for the upcoming season.

The Celtics were on fire to start the game finishing the first quarter with a 20-point lead, 38-18, behind 11 points apiece from Jackson and Brodric Thomas.

The Warriors attempted to mount a comeback in the 2nd half but the Celtics were able to respond with runs of their own.

Promising 2nd round pick JD Davison struggled from the field making only 2 of 8 shots but made up for it with his 9 assists and good defense holding Golden State's Mac McClung to only 9 points and 30% shooting.

Sophomore Jonathan Kuminga led all scorers with 29 points in a losing effort.
